White Wine

Decoy Wines

Decoy Cabernet Sauvignon

Dark cherry, raspberry, baking spice, cola, and subtle toasty oak form a focused aromatic profile that feels both inviting and balanced. The palate offers dark juicy blackberry supported by silky tannins, medium oak structure, and bright acidity that keeps the wine lively. A smooth, creamy texture carries through to a long, balanced finish.

Decoy Red Blend

Bright red fruit leads the profile, with ripe raspberry, concentrated boysenberry, and sweet cranberry layered alongside notes of nutmeg and oak spice. The palate centers on juicy boysenberry, supported by smooth tannins and a round, structured feel. Subtle toasty oak shapes the finish, allowing ripe red fruit to linger.

Decoy Sauvignon Blanc

Bright and lively, this Sauvignon Blanc reveals layers of mango, pineapple, white peach, and kiwi on the palate. Lively acidity balances the creamy texture, allowing juicy stone fruit flavors to unfold. The finish is long and sweet, with a lingering kiwi note that leaves a vibrant, refreshing impression from start to finish.

Decoy Chardonnay

Radiant aromas of ripe tangerine, sweet melon, and tropical mango mingle with delicate oak spice. The palate is round and full, with bright acidity and a supple backbone of sweet oak, layered with notes of juicy mango, pineapple, and a touch of vanilla.

Sean Minor Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay

California Series 2024 Sauvignon Blanc California

Vibrant and juicy, our Sauvignon Blanc has vibrant, refreshing flavors of kiwi, green apple, pink grapefruit and peach. An ideal aperitif or year-round sipper.

This is an over-achiever for California appellation Sauvignon. Medium-bodied, it shows ripe flavors including classic melon and citrus notes, but also a suggestion of tropical fruits. The aromas aren’t as grassy or herbal as usual for Sauvignon Blanc, but the ripe and fruity aromas lend coherence to the wine’s overall character. —M.F. The Tasting Panel

Winemaker Notes

The 2018 vintage was characterized by a warm climate. The nose of this white wine offers notes of chamomile, accompanied with a savory palate of delicate vanilla and butter sensations which transition gracefully into hints of tropical fruit.

Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate

Compared to the 2017 vintage that shows a more accessible and full-bodied style, the 2018 Cervaro della Sala is a classic edition—it’s about as classic as I have ever tasted this landmark white from Umbria to be. This cooler vintage prizes finesse and elegance, and those traits are matched by efforts in the winery to accomplish that same goal. On many levels, the 2018 vintage opens a new chapter for Cervaro della Sala, with a stronger emphasis on preserved lemon, crisp pear and crushed mineral. The wine offers beautiful freshness and linearity. I must also mention that this vintage is released while the fruit is still a bit closed or shy. That slightly reductive approach bodes very well for the wine’s future evolution.

Wine & Spirits

The moderate 2018 growing season yielded a Cervaro of outstanding vivacity and balance. Barrel-fermented chardonnay comprises the majority of the blend, contributing a sleek texture as well as notes of toasted hazelnut and vanilla bean that enrich the crisp apple and pear flavors. A small percentage of stainless-steel-aged grechetto adds fresh acidity to balance the wine’s subtle spice and gingery warmth. Delicious now for its combination of richness and verve, this wine will be even better in a couple of years, as the flavors continue to integrate.
