Craft Ciders

Citizen Cider Lake Hopper

Citizen Cider is proud to work with the good growers on both sides of mighty Lake Champlain, Vermont and New York. Made entirely with apples and cascade hops from the same landscape, and in some cases the same farms, this cider is a tribute to those things that connect us. Two States. One Landscape. One Cider. Get Connected. Drink the Lake Hopper.

Citizen Cider Unified Press

Citizen Cider Dirty Mayor

We offer this cider to the honorable and fully infamous mayor of the only non-town in America, Fort Ethan Allen, USA. The mayor likes his cider with a ginger nip, so in our current effort to ensure local harmony and diplomacy we offer this cider up to the mayor and his fellow citizens.

Cidergeist Bubbles

A cider made with peach and cranberry juice, for additional pink hue, tartness and juicy fruitiness.

Cidergeist Semi Dry

Cider fermented to amplify the fragrance and essence of the apples whilst achieving a delightful, lip-smacking dryness.

Champlain Orchards Original Cider

Our Original is crafted with a farmhouse blend of our favorite eating apples. Its crisp and bright apple finish is enjoyable any time of year.

Spring Sour Beers

Mayflower Fresh Start Tart & Hoppy Ale

Fresh start combines the delightful, tropical fruit aromas of Citra and Mosaic hops with mild tartness and a bit of spice.  Flavorful and refreshing, it will reawaken your senses to the promise of spring.

Two Roads Tanker Truck Series: Passion Fruit Gose

The taste of light wheat mingled with the harmony of tartness and tropical fruit coupled with salinity. Soured in our milk truck that sits adjacent to the brewery.

Ommegang Rosetta

“A blend of old (aged on cherries at least three years) and young Flemish Oud Bruin with a lively and fruity kriek, or cherry beer. The result is a complex yet refreshing mahogany-brown brew that is an intriguing interplay of tartness and sweetness.”

Sea Rose Tart Cherry Wheat Ale

A crisp wheat ale with a tart cherry twist.
Our Sea Rose tart cherry wheat ale is a fresh take on fruit beers. Originally conceived during an employee-led R&D brew, it’s one of our most imaginative recipes yet. The American wheat style is light and clean, while fresh cherry juice adds a soft coral color and fruity nose that gives way to a dry, slightly tart finish. It’s approachable, yet unexpected—exactly what we love to brew.

Winter Brews

Free Will C.O.B. Coffee Oatmeal Brown Ale

Coffee, oatmeal, brown ale. Incredibly rich undertones of brown sugar, caramel and graham cracker. With one pound of Speakeasy coffee per brewery barrel added post fermentation which creates a prominent nose and taste of coffee.

Maui CoCoNut Porter – 96 points Rate Beer

Our Coconut Porter is a classic robust porter spiced with all natural toasted coconut. It is black in color and crowned with a creamy, dark tan head. It begins with a malty-toasted-coconut aroma followed by a rich, silky mouthfeel with tastes of dark malt, chocolate, and hints of coffee. It then finishes with flavors of toasted coconut and hoppy spice to balance the finish.

Oskar Blues Ten Fiddy – 100 Points Rate Beer

Ten FIDY (10.5% ABV) is made with enormous amounts of two-row malt, chocolate malt, roasted barley, flaked oats and hops. Ten FIDY is the ultimate celebration of dark malts and boundary-stretching beer.

Rheingeist/ Sun King Emergency Malt Kit Scotch Ale

Our malt senses are tingling. We joined forces with our pals over at @sunkingbrewing in Indy to whip up Emergency Malt Kit, a lumberjack of a brew jam-packed with oodles of malty goodness. A Scottish 100 Shilling, Emergency Malt Kit is a scotch-ale-meets-belgian-dark-hybrid, a tantalizing melding of our Mastodon and Sun King’s Wee Muckle. We hope this bad boy pleases your palate and gives you a flannelly, chocolatey and deeply malty two-state bear hug.

Wormtown Brewing Spies Like Us Russian Imperial Stout

The cold war may be over, but our Russian Imperial Stout is just getting started. Rich, roasted malts, gentle British hopping with earthy Fuggles hops help create just the right balance and character that this style is famed for. Our label pays tribute to our three secret agents; Tom, David, and Ben, who when they are not saving the world from nuclear war, are helping bring Wormtown to everyone who loves great beer.

Mayflower Oatmeal Stout

Embrace the season with Mayflower Winter Oatmeal Stout. Brewed with three types of oats and several varieties of dark barley malts, this beer adds a little sweetness to the roasted flavor of traditional stouts. The result is a rich and smooth brew that will help sustain you through the winter. Taste history.

Mexican Hot Chocolate Inspired Beers

Mexican Hot Chocolate Inspired Beers

Stone Xocoveza

A winter-spiced mocha stout

Harmoniously layered with cocoa, Mostra coffee, pasilla peppers, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and milk sugar, this beer is an insanely delicious take on Mexican hot chocolate. Thanks entirely to you and fan demand, it has gone from being a one-time offering to a yearly tradition too special to skip. Feel free to enjoy it long into the winter months because this festive beer will age beautifully and is definitely not exclusive to the holidays!

Epic Big Bad Baptista

Big Bad Baptista is inspired by traditional Mexican coffee, Café de Olla, which is served with cinnamon and piloncillo, an unrefined sugar. The Cinnamon adds another layer of complexity and accentuates the earthy character of Mexican Coffee, but more importantly, it captures the essence of a place and its culture. As beverage geeks we wanted to pay homage to that rich tradition and offer our unique take.

Big Bad Baptista is a combination of Vanilla, Cinnamon, Mexican coffee roasted by Blue Copper, and Solstice Chocolate cacao nibs. It’s luxurious to say the least, with a pleasant warming sensation generated by the cinnamon and alcohol. Enjoying the interplay of chocolate, malt, oak, and spice is the perfect way to spend a cool evening, with friends around a fire.

Great Divide Chocolate Oak Aged Yeti

Great Divide Best Denver Brewery Great Divide Brewing Company Yeti Colette Titan

CHOCOLATE OAK AGED YETI IMPERIAL STOUT is another revered incarnation of our legendary imperial stout. We toned down the hops a bit to allow cocoa nibs to contribute some pleasing bitterness, while vanilla notes from the oak combine with the cocoa to create an aroma and flavor akin to a gourmet chocolate bar. A dash of cayenne keeps things lively, adding just a bit of heat to the finish. Another great Yeti? Hell yes.

This sessionable pumpkin ale is brewed with real pumpkin and a spice medley of nutmeg, cinnamon, and all-spice.

Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale 6.5% ABV

The beer drinker’s pumpkin beer! “Since 2003, we’ve brewed Smuttynose Pumpkin Ale with real pumpkin and a blend of classic pumpkin pie spices in tribute to our colonial forebearers. Recipes calling for the use of pumpkins have been found from early European settlers in New England, when brewers sought to extend their supply of costly imported malt with locally grown ingredients, such as squash and “pompions.””

Captain Lawrence Autumn Blaze Pumpkin Ale 5% ABV

This is the perfect beer to drink as the weather starts to turn a bit cooler. Brewed with pureed pumpkins added directly to the mash, and traditional pumpkin pie spices add to the end of the boil, this beer packs a ton of flavor into a malty and smooth amber colored ale.

Dogfish Head Punkin Ale 7%ABV

Timmermans Pumpkin Lambicus 4% ABV

“This is a lambic without the fruity sweetness. We’ll admit we didn’t appreciate the value of that in last year’s tasting, but this is a wonderfully unique take on pumpkin beer. Subtle and refreshing.” #4 BEST PUMPKIN BEER PASTE MAGAZINE

Anderson Valley Pinchy Jeek Barl 8.5% ABV

Aged for 6 months in Wild Turkey® barrels, this bourbon barrel-aged pumpkin ale is pleasantly creamy with a silky body and sweet caramel flavor. Paulaner Oktoberfest 5.8% ABV

Is an amber beer style that was developed over 200 years ago to celebrate the original Oktoberfest. The Märzen name comes from “March beer” because it was historically brewed in March to be at peak flavor for the Oktoberfest celebration. Today this style is available year round in the US due to popular demand. This full bodied beer with its rich malt flavor and dark toffee note, has an underlying fruitiness and masterful hop balance. It will instantly turn your own four walls into an Oktoberfest tent. Prost!

Paulaner Oktoberfest Wiesn 6% ABV

This golden Oktoberfest lager is the only beer served in Paulaner Oktoberfest tents today. It also happens to be the best-selling Oktoberfest beer in Germany. Brewed once a year, and only available while supplies last, Oktoberfest Wiesn is the pinnacle of German brewing: deep golden color, full-bodied and wonderfully mellow, with a balanced harmonious taste and the pleasant fragrance of hops. At 6% ABV, it is stronger and bolder that the usual lager.

Weihenstephaner Festbier 5.7% ABV

Sierra Nevada Oktoberfest 6% ABV
We’re exploring the roots of Germany’s famous Oktoberfest beers. Each year, we partner with a different German brewer to explore a different approach to the style. This year we’re working with Bamberg, Germany’s Mahrs Bräu on a new version of the classic style. This authentic version of the festival beer is deep golden in color with a rich malt complexity, but with a noticeable spicy hop character from the use of the nearly forgotten Record hop varietal.

Ballast Point Pumpkin Down Scottish Ale with Pumpkin 5.8% ABV

Some might think we’re out of our gourd for making a pumpkin ale, but our Pumpkin Down is not like the others. The caramel and toffee maltiness of our Piper Down Scottish ale is the perfect backdrop for a boatload of roasted pumpkin. Just before bottling, we add a subtle amount of spice to complement, but not overwhelm, the earthy flavor. It was a smash at the brewery, and we think you’ll agree.

Ballast Point Dead Ringer Oktoberfest Lager 6% ABV

A fresh take on a traditional festival beer. Dead Ringer Oktoberfest lager is inspired by old-style Märzen brews customarily enjoyed during Bavaria’s world-famous beer festival. Thanks to an abundance of toasted malt and a lower hop bitterness, this dark reddish brown lager is loaded with sweet, caramel toffee flavors and aromas. All the taste and celebration of Oktoberfest packed into one bottle; no lederhosen required.

Harpoon Flannel Friday Hoppy Amber Ale 5.7% ABV

This Hoppy Amber Ale is our tribute to the quintessential season of change. A bright hop aroma from late hop additions plays with its strong malt backbone. Amber hued, medium bodied, with hints of citrus and pine, this ale is made for the crisp days (and nights) of fall.

Harpoon Oktoberfest Marzen 5.3% ABV

Harpoon Octoberfest is a malty tribute to fall, balanced by a gentle hop bitterness.  In keeping with tradition, it is a Marzen-style beer, brewed with abundant quantities of Munich, Chocolate, and Pale malts. Those malts provide a solid, full body and create the beer’s deep color.  It is a rich, flavorful beer.

Revolution Oktoberfest 5.7% ABV

A classic German-style Oktoberfest beer that goes down smooth with a pleasant, toasty malt flavor. 100% German malts create a supple and flavorful base for this traditional Oktoberfest lager. This lager is brewed with a hop called Hallertau Gold, grown on only one farm in the whole of Bavaria to deliver a hop profile which is at the same time both classic and unique.

Art in the Age Root Liquor

“Here at Art in the Age, we thought it would be interesting and fun to turn back the clock and recreate a true pre-temperance alcoholic Root Tea. We’ve even made it certified organic, since back then, everything was organic. This is the opposite of corporate culture. It’s a genuine experience rooted in history and our own landscape. It is a truly interesting and contemplative quaff. Certainly like nothing else we have ever tasted before. It is NOT Root Beer flavored vodka or a sickly sweet liqueur.”

Ballast Point Mango Even Keel – Our Mango Even Keel is the ideal beer for easy drinking. This hoppy, session ale gets a flavor boost from mango, which perfectly plays off the citrusy hop bouquet. With fruit, hops, and a low ABV, this beer truly is on another level.

Ballast Point Pineapple Sculpin –Pineapple Sculpin IPA came from one of many small-batch cask experiments to enhance the flavor of our signature IPA. Saisons and Farmhouse Ales

Saisons are sturdy farmhouse ale that was traditionally brewed in the winter, to be consumed throughout the summer months. Not so long ago it was close to being an endangered style, but over recent years there’s been a massive revival; especially in the US.

This is a very complex style; many are very fruity in the aroma and flavor. Look for earthy yeast tones, mild to moderate tartness. Lots of spice and with a medium bitterness. They tend to be semi-dry with many only having touch of sweetness.

Two Roads Worker’s Comp. Saison

A traditional farmhouse ale made with a very expressive yeast strain that contributes an array of tropical fruit, spice flavors and aromatics. Brewed with a variety of harvest grains including barley, wheat, oats and rye as was likely the case with farmhouse brewers of yore. The result is a complex, refreshing and distinctive example of this esoteric style. Intensely fruity (passion fruit, pineapple, mango, lychee), slightly spicy (clove, white pepper)

Cambridge Brewing Company Sgt. Pepper (96 points BA)

Farmhouse Ale with Peppercorns

First brewed in celebration of our 20th Anniversary, and #23 is coming up soon – May 12, 2012! It was April Fool’s Day, 1989, when Phil “Brewdaddy” Bannatyne first opened the doors to what would become one of the preeminent breweries in the country.

Sgt. Pepper has been brewed with Pilsner, CaraVienne, and Rye malts, plus Magnum and Spalter hops. But the driving force behind this beer is the contribution from whole Black, Green, White, and Pink peppercorns. Added to the brewkettle, these four fab peppercorns harmonize with spicy hops while the malted rye and our Belgian yeast hold down the backbeat.

Boulevard Brewing Co. Collaberation No. 4 Saison

To pay tribute to our new familial ties, brewmasters Steven Pauwels and Phil Leinhart chose to create a Saison, the traditional Belgian farmhouse ale. They began by brewing two separate batches of beer, both at Boulevard Brewing Company, each with a grain bill of pale malt, oats, rye, corn, and wheat, subtly spiced with coriander, grains of paradise, and dried peels of lemons and oranges. Perle was used as a bittering hop with Safir and Saaz added for aroma. Each of the two batches was fermented with the unique house yeast from our respective breweries. The batches were then blended post-fermentation, allowing both of the distinctive yeast signatures to manifest in the finished beer. The result is crisp and bready, with a bracing hoppiness and a hint of spice lingering in the background. Join us in raising a glass to family.

Brewery Ommegang Hennepin (95 points BA)

This style is a farmhouse ale, and is considered to be in the domain of the Belgian Saisons. Hennepin is a delicious brew for all seasons, it is spicy and refreshing.

A moderately hoppy, farmhouse-style ale with a champagne-like effervescence, Hennepin has a crisp start followed by malt sweetness balanced with a firm bitterness. Hennepin has a bounty of great flavors: ginger, spice, orange and toasted grain. Pouring a bright golden color with a spicy-sweet balance of orange peel, sweet malt, hops and ginger, Hennepin makes way for a dry finish with a slight bite of ginger.

Foolproof La Ferme Urbane

La Ferme Urbaine (LFU) is our unique take on a farmhouse ale. Influenced by the Belgian saison style, LFU features a complex blend of German hops, pilsner and pale malts, wheat, rye, oats, and spelt. The beer pours a hazy straw color and delivers a spicy, dry finish. So raise a glass and enjoy!

Dogfish Head Noble Rot

This saison-esque science project gets complexity and fermentable sugars from two unique wine grapes sourced with our friends at Alexandria Nicole Cellars in Prosser, Wash.

The first addition is unfermented juice, known as must, from Viognier grapes that have been infected with a benevolent fungus called botrytis. This noble rot reduces the water content in the grapes while magnifying their sweetness and complexity. The second is pinot gris must intensified by a process called dropping fruit, where large clusters of grapes are clipped to amplify the quality of those left behind.

“This is the absolute closest to equal meshing of the wine world and the beer world thats ever been done commercially,” says Dogfish’s Sam Calagione. Noble Rot is brewed with pils and wheat malts and fermented with a distinct Belgian yeast strain. It has a spicy white wine body and a dry, tart finish.

Two Roads Worker’s Stomp

We have taken our Workers Comp saison and “stomped” all over it. Using a variant of our classic saison recipe and aging it in white wine barrels, this beer is the newest in our “Road Less Traveled” series. Majorly fruity and spicy with a hint of dry white wine notes.

Allagash Interlude (Farmhouse Ale aged in Wine Barrels) (94 points BA)

Two yeast strains were used to create this unique 9.5% ABV Belgian style ale. The first, a Belgian farmhouse yeast, establishes the flavor foundations of a classic Belgian-style ale. The second, a house strain of Brettanomyces yeast, brings it to the next level contributing an intriguing myriad of flavors including pear, apricot, graham cracker, and bread crust. Finally, a portion of the Interlude is aged in red wine barrels, which impart a distinctive vinous plum character and a drying, almost tannic finish.

Boulevard Tank 7 (95 points BA)

Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickety. Here at Boulevard we have fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family. Ironically, when our brewers were experimenting with variations on a traditional Belgian-style farmhouse ale, the perfect combination of elements came together in that very vessel. You could call it fate, but they called it Tank 7, and so it is. Beginning with a big surge of fruity aromatics and grapefruit-hoppy notes, the flavor of this complex, straw-colored ale tapers off to a peppery, dry finish.

Boulevard Spring Belle

Spring Belle Saison marries the crisp, spicy flavor of a traditional farmhouse saison, with its citrusy hop notes, to the fresh floral aromas of chamomile, rose petals, and elderflower. Late hopping with Calypso and Lemon Drop rounds out this drinkable spring bouquet.
